Doug Leaffer, AKA 'BostonSax', is a professional saxophonist with decades of musical performance experience. Since the early 1980s, he has entertained audiences across various genres including jazz, blues, gospel and R&B.
In his musical career, Doug has opened for (Count Basie saxophonist) Frank Foster's Loud Minority Big Band, Robert Ellis Orall (folk/pop), and members of the J.Geils Band, and has performed with rock & roll tribute bands Rave-On (Buddy Holly) and Foreigners Journey, fronted by original vocalist Keith Carmichael and by Constantine Maroulis, American Idol finalist and Tony Award nominee. Doug has played sax in the horn sections of Motown legends Martha Reeves (of the Vandellas) and with touring members of the original Temptations, as well as a performance with legendary composer, arranger and conductor David Amram, and with Gospel keyboardist/organist Kevin Powell. He recently performs with The Sultans, which GQ Magazine called "America's Greatest Wedding Band".
